F.I.A. 1965 Porsche 911 2.0 SWB
Year:
1965
Colour: Light Ivory
Description: One of the very few 1965 911's manufactured in Right Hand Drive. We purchased this early 911 in 2008 and although the car and bodywork were remarkably sound we carried out a painstaking restoration with tremendous attention to detail.
We blasted the shell to bare metal and very few repairs were necessary to bring the body work back to it's original condition . The car was painted in it's original colour light Ivory and we decided to honour an early 911 race team by painting the bonnet in their colour scheme (Champagne Yellow and Signal Red). Although this is a race car the paint work is finished exceptionally to concours standard. The interior is finished as a Gentleman's racer with carpets, trim, a Recaro FIA race seat, an original 60's period Recaro seat for the passenger and a custom built FIA roll cage,. The dash trim remains and the dash top has been refinished in the correct leatherette. All dials have been restored and a 10K tacho and clock blank were fitted.
Under the engine lid there is a genuine FIA correct 2.0 Aluminium engine. The engine and gearbox were rebuilt by the leading European early Porsche engine specialist. Both having had a no expense spared rebuild using all genuine Porsche parts. The gearbox has a genuine 904 ZF LSD.
This car has fresh FIA papers ad is ready to use in many events and race series.
I believe this is the best 1965 911 race car on the market today!
