Porsche 1972 911 2.5 ST Recreation
Colour: Hellgelb (Light Yellow)
Description: Built using a genuine early 1972 S. These E series shells with the oil filler flap on the right hand side rear wing were in most experts opinion the optimum 911 ever Produced. The customers brief was to build the car to Factory Sport Department 2.5 ST/R specification. The shell was totally sand blasted and protected in a holding primer then it was completley restored in our body workshop using only genuine New Old Stock panels. Most of the original panels were saved including the floors and additional race car strengthening was added the same as the Works Cars including the front strut brace. The ST rear arches were hand made using an original N.O.S panel for reference. Hence unlike most ST recreations the arches are aesthetically pleasing to the eye and more importantly correct. We have also gone to a lot of trouble to get the fibreglass panels (front wings, bonnet, engine lid, front and rear bumpers) made using original reference panels and making sure the panels were finished in the correct material and weave. The car was then finished in it's original Hellgelb colour. The interior of the car was finished to factory specification using a period lightweight carpet set and ST Seats finished with vinyl corduroy centres. The car features many original and correct period parts such as original 7" & 9" Fuchs Alloys NOS ST 380mm double layer covered steering wheel, an original 10K tachometer, a period half roll cage and an original factory competition footrest etc etc. The engine is built to correct 2.5 ST specification, with twin plugs, the correct lightweight fibreglass engine shrouds and an original high butterfly injection system 100 litre fuel tank the list goes on & on. A Full Nut & Bolt Rebuild to Perfection !
